中宮の不動明王

立神地区には三社があり、上流から立神龍神（上宮）・不動明王（中宮）・熊野座神社（下宮を番神とする）とある。
不動明王は、悪魔を降伏するために恐ろしい姿であり、すべての障害を打ち砕き、おとなしく仏道に従わないものを無理矢理にでも導き救済するという役目を持っている、真言宗の教主「大日如来」の使者である。目を怒らせ、右手に宝剣を持ち左手に縄を持つ大変恐ろしい姿をしているが、その心は人々を救済しようとする厳しくもやさしい慈悲に満ちている。
